craft therapy

Yesterday my friend Lety invited me over to her casa for an afternoon of sewing and gabbing , of course. She is an accomplished seamstress herself and artistic and just plain fun. We decided to make Heather Bailey's fruit pincushions out of beautiful scraps of fabric from the shop where we work. She has quite a work set up in her home which made for easy cutting and sewing and general spreading out. We had so much fun and ended up with a beautiful and functional pear and tomato ( though my tomato looked like a red pumpkin ) ! Then it was time to pick up kids and go run errands and get back to our routines . What a nice day with a lovely friend. Till next time, Susanne
we had fun selecting our fabrics, then we realized we had picked the same fabrics !
after sewing then came the stuffing , after lunch and more gabbing, my tomato/pumpkin and Lety's pear were finished . The end product with stem and leaves. The pattern is cute and you can order from Heather Bailey's site  HellomynameisHeather.
