Are you sure I'm not 29 ?

                                                                 I still can't believe my baby is turning 29 in a few short weeks. I still feel 29 myself , though the Olay Regenerist products that line my vanity are an indication of otherwise !  When I was 24 , I packed her , myself and our few belongings and moved away from Tennessee and back to Florida . How did I get so brave and strong to do the things I needed to do ? I guess survival is the strongest instinct , you just do what you have to do . My then 2 year old was, and is, the most precious thing to me .We found our dear B along the way and got married , and now Lu is a happily married lady herself. I wish my Mom could see her now . Just like Mom , Lu is outspoken , very southern , loves a great shoe , is all wrapped up in leopard skin , and loves her family . One day she and her hubby will also pack up their belongings , their little dog Seven , and will venture out into the big ole world . Until then ,we will laugh , drink a little wine together , and break bread together every Thursday nite . God bless you and yours , Suz

Lowering my bucket into the well

    

       I have been in bed with a cold for a week so I will apologize now for Nyquil induced hysteria and ramblings . The upside is I had morning devotions and quiet time every morning and I so needed it . Life is stressful and I just needed to put my focus back on God and his grace . I wander off and start getting upset over temporal things and I just have to go back to the word to get straightened out . Paige from Simple Thoughts blog and several others have inspired me to really do some digging this year , its time . Tonite after several weeks of upsetness with a family situation I found my answer in Psalms ....... God is in control , stay the course , bathe in the light of love and the truth . Thanks be to the Creator of heaven and earth  and his precious Son and to the Holy Spirit  .xxoo Suz

BBrrrrrrrr Rabbit !

     It's cold  out there ! We have had freezing temps all week and it looks like it's not going to let up . What are some things you like to do on cold , drizzly days ? Me ? Let me just make my list !

* First and foremost , hot chocolate with a dash of cayenne pepper is top on my list , try it you will luv it .

* pajamas , preferably flannel and worn within a nub of its life . These are to be worn as long as husband can stand the sight .

* a good read is a must , nothing too deep , maybe a murder mystery , or a armchair travel book .... that may be the only way I see Europe !

* one snuggly , slightly used and cuddly pup ....... he loves it when I wear flannel !

* in case of absence of good book , a good movie will suffice , Somethings Gotta Give , It's Complicated , anything with Carey Grant and Doris Day , Julie , Julia , A Good Year , you get the picture !

In living color

             How about a little color ? This is a little over the top , but after you put away the Christmas tree , the cards , the ornaments , the sparkley stuff ........ well things look a little dull . I want to add some pops of green and pink and orange , would hubby roll over ? Probably , but we have been married a long time and I think he's getting used to it , well sorta . My co-worker Mrs .V and I admit we are color junkies , its scary sometimes , just gotta have it ( at least we admit  it ). So my house will never look like this , but I got my color fix for the day .
